The design ambition for this newly built single-family house is to blend harmoniously into its green surroundings. JUMA strives for subtle integration by avoiding bright contrasts and deliberately chooses a warm and earthy colour palette in the facade finishes.
The horizontal lines of the canopies emphasise the elongated shape of the house, while the masonry bond of the facing bricks provides a counter movement. Processing them ‘straight on straight’ creates a compact and balanced whole.
Wooden beams, which occur under the canopies and between the windows, add a refined detail and bring rhythm to the design.
The sitting area, with its high ceiling, acts as a panoramic viewpoint over the expansive fields. The dining area, kitchen and covered terrace collectively form a dynamic axis, with each room also naturally taking full advantage of the breathtaking views.
The upper floor houses the sleeping quarters, which have been given a more closed character to both ensure privacy and prevent overheating.
